Wetland Scientist - entry level
As an entry level wetland scientist you will assist senior staff with wetland delineations, stream assessments, permit applications, stream and wetland restoration design, mitigation monitoring, and bat habitat assessments. Applicants should have 0 to 3 years of experience with a BS or MS in environmental science, natural resource management, botany, ecology, or related field.
Additional experience is desired, but not required, in the areas of GIS, NEPA, erosion and sediment control, and endangered species.
Wetland Scientist -
As a mid-level wetland scientist you will lead wetland delineations, stream assessments, bat habitat/upland forest assessments, and preparation of permit applications. You will also assist senior staff with complex wetland and stream assessments, stream and wetland restoration designs, and mitigation monitoring. Applicants should have 4 to 7 years of experience with a BS or MS in environmental science, natural resource management, botany, ecology, or related field. Although this position is focused on natural resources and ecology, experience preparing NEPA documents and working with GIS is highly beneficial.
As a mid-level NEPA specialist you will lead preparation of categorical exclusions, and assist or lead preparation of environmental assessments, for HUD and INDOT projects. You will be responsible for managing sub-consultants, as needed, to complete specialized studies in support of the NEPA document. Applicants should have 3 to 6 years of experience with a BS or MS in environmental policy, environmental science, natural resource management, or related field.
Additional experience is desired, but not required, in the areas of GIS and ecology.
